About Work Entitlements

Work Entitlements exists because the answer to “what am I actually entitled to?” is scattered across guidance pages, handbooks and collective agreements — and almost never arrives as a number you can use.

We build calculators that do the statutory arithmetic with your own inputs: your working pattern, your salary, your dates. Each one shows its working and cites the official source of every figure — GOV.UK, HMRC's rate tables, the NHS Terms and Conditions Handbook, the Burgundy Book. The methodology page sets out the verification process, including how figures are monitored for changes and updated by a human editor.

The site is written and maintained by the Work Entitlements team. We're not a law firm and this isn't legal advice — for a dispute, Acas is free and impartial, and a specialist adviser beats any website. What we can promise is that the numbers here are this year's, sourced, and checked.
